Pumpkin Coffee Cake

For our anniversary weekend, I knew I wanted to make a delicious fall treat for us to snack on with our morning coffee. It didn't take much searching before I realized it needed to have pumpkin, it needed to be fairly simple to make, and it needed to be extra scrumptious! What's an anniversary without some great food to enjoy together?!

I've always loved coffee cake, but I rarely let myself splurge on it. It's usually a treat for vacations or special occasions, but I've never actually had a homemade version until this recipe. I say this about all the recipe's on DLD, but as a coffee cake fanatic, this homemade treat is one of my absolute favorites! Everything about this is amazing. As in... we ate the whole batch and then made a whole new batch the next day amazing. (Insert bug-eyed emoji)

Hello lovely ladies! For this week's Life and Style Linkup, we want to see your favorite hairstyles! You've probably noticed I've been on quite the braid kick lately, and this week was no exception. There are countless ways to work a braid into any style, just like Christina did with this side bun and cute mini braid. 

I've been experimenting with the messy fishtail braid, and I love how it looks with a flowy dress like this one from Belle Boutique. The fabric is so beautiful, and how can you not love that gorgeous back detailing?! Perfection!

Roadtrip Checklist

Chris and I are no strangers to roadtrips. Back when we were dating long-distance, we both made the 16 hour trek from Portland to LA numerous times. LA to Vegas, to San Francisco, to San Diego...it's always been a mix of fun, exhaustion, and countless snacks and games to pass the time.

Date Night: Life and Style Linkup

Sweater Weather and Fall Boots

It's finally cooled off a little bit (at least after the sun goes down) and I'm loving getting to wear these super cute fold down boots from Belle Boutique. As soon as I saw them, I knew they'd be going to the apple orchard with me sometime soon. I love the plaid detail when you fold down the top, and they are the perfect way to transition some of my summer dresses into Fall.

Meta Ink Metallic Temporary Tattoos

Who didn't love stick-on tattoos growing up?! Well, now they're back and better than ever with these fun Meta Ink Tattoos! In place of the Disney characters and cheesy designs of our childhood are these boho-chic gold, black, and silver temporary tattoo designs. They are so cute, I love being able to mix and match them. Movie in the Park: The Princess Bride

Every time the seasons change, I like looking back on all the fun adventures Chris and I had the past few months. One of my favorite memories this past summer was walking from our house to the park across the street to watch my childhood favorite movie, The Princess Bride. Not only is this movie a classic, but it might be the first movie I started quoting regularly. (Aside from the Newsies!)

I was so excited to go to the show, that I bought our tickets about 3 months in advance. Life gets so busy sometimes that I was not about to let this one pass us by! The day of the movie Chris and I made some homemade popcorn to take with us. We like to cook it in coconut oil, and it's my favorite movie night snack!
