Rainy Day Style

Rain, rain, go away...come again another day! Just kidding, check out that luscious green grass!! California is without a doubt in need of some rainfall, but did it have to happen on the weekend? From sunny skies last week, I'm just glad it didn't happen over Valentine's Day.

You might think I'm crazy for wearing heels when it's raining, but I absolutely hate when my pants are soaked from the puddles on the sidewalk. Solution: folded cuffs and heels. As long as I have my hubby's arm to use as balance, I can avoid any embarrassing wipe-outs. ;)

For my hair, I usually "scrunch" it to get a more relaxed, wavy look. This way the rain won't ruin any curls or flat-ironed locks. Otherwise, I'll just throw it up in a messy bun.

This past weekend, Chris and I were fortunate to actually go on a vacation to celebrate our birthdays this month, and of course Valentine's Day as well. The resort was beyond beautiful, and although we were only 20 miles from our house, we felt like we had transported to the tropics!

Valentine's Day Style

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, it's time to style up your most romantic Date Night outfit! This year, I was looking for something with just the right amount of flirty and sophisticated. Once again, Lulu's delivered, with this adorable peach little number! The high neckline is ultra classy, with fun details in the ruffled hemline, and extra low cut outs at the side.

Using the light peach dress as my neutral, I was able to add in my Valentines Day signature red with this gorgeous Marc Jacobs clutch and those vibrant floral shoes. These Steve Madden pumps have the illusion of hand painted florals, which is a great statement piece to spice up your Valentine's Day ensemble.

Chris and I have a few dinner date's lined up at a beautiful resort, and you can bet this outfit is already packed and ready to go!
