Follow Me On Instagram!

Hey everyone! If you follow me on Instagram already, you know that Chris and I spent the weekend on Catalina Island. Leave it to me to forget my nice camera at home...eek! I was left to using my iphone camera all weekend, but that meant I was able to post to Instagram more often!!

Catalina was tiring, but great! We went camping on the Island, which meant we had to carry everything we brought on our backs! The campsite was over a mile away from town, so we definitely got in some good exercise. My genius of a husband brought a pop-up tent, that literally transforms into a tent like magic, no messing with hooks or poles required! He's pretty awesome :)

The Butterfly Pavilion

For as long as I can remember, I have been captivated by the elegant beauty of butterflies. They have an effortless grace and intricacy that never ceases to amaze me. When I was in kindergarten, our class performed a little musical about God's Creation of the world and I was absolutely ecstatic when I found out I could play a butterfly. My lovely artist of a mom hand painted me a pair of wings, which is actually very fitting for how natural butterflies appear as well- delicately hand painted. If you can't already tell, I really love butterflies. ;)

Maldives: Sea Planes, Sunsets, and Tropical Drinks

This post is the first glimpse into how amazing the Viceroy company treats their guests (especially the Viceroy Maldives!). As I mentioned in my first Maldives post, I truly believe the amazingness of our trip was heavily reliant on our choice of resort.

Getting off the plane from Abu Dhabi, things were pretty hectic. We went through customs, got our luggage, and then began to navigate our way through the airport. We followed an equally confused crowd of arrivals down an escalator and stopped at the bottom, looking around at people rushing this way and that trying to find where they were supposed to be going.

Beach Day

One of my bucket list items this year would definitely be to get to the beach more often. We are so blessed to live in an amazing place with gorgeous beaches, yet we don't take advantage of it as often as we should.

The Maldives: The Start of a Bucket List

I've always liked the idea of a life bucket list. A way to track your adventures and look forward to new ones. Something that let's you realize your goals and dream as big as you want. One of my close friends had the cute idea of having a bucket list themed birthday party and it reignited my desire to start my own. There are so many exciting things I've jotted down, but I would have to say that my number one bucket list item has actually already been crossed off my list.
