Happy New Years Eve!! Every week we have something to celebrate these days! I hope you all have fun plans with friends, family, and loved ones to ring in the New Year! Whether you are braving the chaos of a party or cuddling up indoors, stay safe and have fun!

I'll keep today's post short and sweet. This cozy sweater may be ultra comfortable, but the rhinestone detailing at the neckline glams it up for a great New Years Eve day look. You may think I'm slightly crazy for not wearing a coat, and you would be correct. Although it's warmer than other parts of the country, it is freezing for LA. Another big factor that is making me lean towards staying in tonight!

Life and Style Linkup: Sweaters

Merry Christmas Eve!! I hope your feeling warm and snuggly because today's theme for Life and Style Linkup is Sweaters! For this shoot I decided to bring back my favorite Free People Sweater and my tried and true BF jeans. 

Chris and I are off to visit family in Portland, so scarves and sweaters are a must for me this week! I'm pretty excited for some fresh mountain air, time with family, and sleeping in 'til our heart's content. I can't even wait!

I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas tomorrow, and I definitely want to take this opportunity to thank all of you who follow my blog! I love having this creative outlet for fashion, crafts, recipe's, not to mention getting to hear from all of you through comments and emails. It always makes my day! :D

Party Perfect with LuLu's

'Tis the week of Christmas! So much to do, so little time! Are you guys as behind with gift shopping as I am?! Luckily the husband has been keeping me in line, and we are so close to finishing our list! One of the easiest things to cross off that list was dress shopping for all the parties and festivities that December brings. 

As soon as I saw this grey beaded dress, I absolutely loved it. It's perfect for New Years, date night, or a Gatsby themed party. I added my favorite pearl necklace (an anniversary present from Chris), some black tights, my basic black pumps, and this amazingly soft winter white jacket to complete the look. 

I just ordered two more dresses from LuLu's for New Years and a super exciting upcoming photo shoot! If you're looking for a unique, high quality, Party Perfect dress, LuLu's is without a doubt the place to go! They have the best variety of styles, colors, and great designs. Not to mention the incredible attention to detail, like this sequin/beaded number I have on.

This weekend Chris and I did a little shopping in Beverly Hills, and then headed over to our favorite sushi spot, Sugar Fish. A few Sprinkle's Cupcakes for dessert, and I'd say we had a pretty great weekend. Did I also mention brunch at A.O.C.? And a great Christmas church service?! Honestly, who doesn't love December? (Says the girl who lives in Cali and doesn't have to deal with snow storms...but still!)

Life and Style: Layers

It's Wednesday! Only two more days till the weekend, and I could not be more excited for all the fun things we have planned! But today, Christina and I are sharing our favorite layered looks for this week's Life and Style Linkup. 

I'll be totally honest with you guys, this week has been so completely crazy that I had to use a stock photo-shoot for this week's theme. The day we had planned on shooting this week's style post turned out to be pouring down rain. Then so did the next day, and the next, and the next lol. 

So today I decided to share this amazing layering sweater I wore a few weeks ago. I brought it with me to North Carolina for Thanksgiving and my stylish sister tried to swipe it! That's when you know you have a winner ;) It's so cozy, I love wearing it around the house on chilly days, but it's so cute to wear out as well!

I could live in leggings, and big cozy sweaters are a great way to get away with it. Add in a cute necklace and some boots (like these stylish ones from Belle Boutique) and you are set to go!

Life and Style Linkup: Scarves

Is it Wednesday again already?! This month is flying by so fast! Today's linkup with Christina from PoshPair we are featuring a winter favorite- Scarves! As soon as infinity scarves hit the style scene, I was hooked. They're incredibly easy to throw on, and give you instant warmth and coziness.

For today's look, I decided to put together a typical airport ensemble. With Christmas fast approaching, I'm sure a lot of you girls will be jet-setting off to family, so here are a few ideas for what to wear!

Number one on the list is to dress in something that will be comfortable walking though the airport as well as sitting on the plane. For me, that means my coziest pair of leggings. These Beyond Yoga leggings are hands down the best pair I've ever owned. The fabric quality is great. It's supportive while still providing enough stretch to be comfortable. They also only manufacture in the USA, so you'll be supporting the economy! ;)

A slouchy sweater is a must, and of course a bright scarf like this one from World Market. You can use your scarf as a make-shift pillow for napping, an extra layer around your shoulders if it's extra chilly, or a cover for your face if it's too bright to sleep. 

I like to keep my makeup super simple with a light foundation, my favorite mascara, and a clear or nude lipgloss. This way if you do end up sleeping on the flight, you won't wake up with any embarrassing smudges or smeared makeup. I'll usually pull my hair back into a side bun so it's out of the way, and if nothing else bring a hair-tie in case it gets toasty rushing through the airport.

Life and Style Linkup: Outerwear

Hello, hello! Another fun linkup this week with Christina of Posh Pair today. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends! We flew cross country to North Carolina for a long, relaxing weekend. 

We had our fair share of Black Friday shopping, and I snagged this super cute fur-hooded vest from GAP. I was surprised how many stores didn't do a big sale, but GAP had 50% off their whole store! Yes please!

Coming back to LA, we were greeted with some desperately needed rainfall. The perfect opportunity for homemade soup, warm cozy blankets, and preparing to put up all our Christmas decor! I can't wait to have a craft day with my ladies, and hopefully share a few of our projects with you soon!
