Daily Special: Fingerling Potatoes and Truffle Flatbread

Penthouse is located on the top floor of the Huntley Hotel in Santa Monica, CA. I wanted to surprise Chris with a great place to celebrate Valentines Day, and I had heard good things about this beachside hotspot.

Let's just say I was not disappointed.

Eighteen floors high with windows all along the perimeters of the restaurant, the atmosphere is full of light and fresh ocean breeze.

Happy Birthday to Me!

My birthday happens to fall on February 14^th, which to the rest of the world is known as Valentines Day. The day I was born the nurses kept asking my mom if she would name me Valentina...thank goodness that didn't happen. There are pros and cons for sure, but for the most part I absolutely love having this fun holiday as my birthday.

Easy Valentines Day Cards

Let's face it. I'm a scrapbook hoarder. I've been building by stash since the 2nd grade when scrapbooking was at it's height of popularity. Scrapbook parties anyone? I used to sit for hours and hours perfecting each page in the same time it took my friends to finish five to ten pages. Needless to say, I didn't blow through my stash as quickly as I was accumulating it.

Scarpetta

This upscale Italian restaurant is perfectly located in the Beverly Hills Montage hotel. The Montage itself is absolutely beautiful, so I would expect nothing less from one of its own restaurants. Owned by award winning chef, Scott Conant, this location was opened in 2010. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating, perched alongside a beautifully expansive courtyard.
