The Not-So-Basic Little Black Dress
The little black dress is a closet staple for most women, and I own my fair share of them. Every once in a while (or all the time!), it's fun to mix it up with a little pop of color!
I love all the great details of this dress. The hi-low hem, the bright flowers, and the well-constructed silhouette all make this a fun alternative to your average LBD. And how cute is the button-down center front?! It's one of the unexpected details that make this piece so unique!
The freshwater pearls might just be my favorite part of this outfit. An anniversary present from Chris, I'm always looking for new ways to wear it! The full length of the necklace is over 8ft feet long (!!!), giving you a ton of options when choosing how to style it.
For this look I chose to create a layered look by wrapping the pearls at varying lengths. Along with the classic black pumps, the pearls elevate this would-be casual dress to an elegant night out ensemble.

Throw on a bright jacket for even more pop, and you're good to go for those chilly LA nights!
Just a quick post for today!
We have lots of exciting plans this weekend,
I hope you all enjoy yours as well!
