Style: One Sweater, Three Ways

Design Life Diaries: Sweater Style

One of my favorite sweaters is a Free People gem I found on sale ($30!) at Nordstrom Rack. I'm in love with the intricate detail at the neckline. The lace and gem stones make this top truly unique and so fun to wear.

An off-white sweater goes with everything, and can be worked into every season. Although it's sweater status could make it seem more like a fall or winter item, I actually have more fun pairing it with skirts and bright colors for spring and summer.

If you have an off-white sweater you love, here are a few fun ideas on how to style it!

Casual
This first look is super relaxed and casual. The neutral of the off-white sweater works great with any color jean. From true blue denim to light pink, as shown here, the simplicity is what really makes this work. I like to pair this outfit with neutral accessories to keep the focus on the pop of color in the denim.

Preppy
Next is what I like to call the sophisticated prep-school look. Paired with a collared shirt, it dresses up the casual sweater with a relaxed, untucked feel. Add in a leather skirt for a little edge and a bright accessory to keep it fun and flirty.

Girlie Girl
The last look is ultra feminine and pretty. The solid neutral of the sweater lets you play with a variety of patterns when choosing your skirt. This pleated floral number is one of my favorites to instantly feel warm and summery. The magenta pumps magnify the girliness of the skirt while staying chic and classy. Balance the color in your shoes with a neutral purse, and your set to go!
